Scope
Plywood underlayment over existing subfloor · Glue-down vinyl plank installation · Toilet removal and replacement · New quarter round trim

Case Study

A bathroom floor rebuilt from the subfloor up — new plywood underlayment, glue-down vinyl plank, a replaced toilet and fresh quarter round trim.

Challenge
A bathroom floor is only as durable as what sits beneath it. The existing subfloor needed a sound, even underlayment before any finished surface could be trusted to hold up in a wet room.
Approach
The work was sequenced from the structure outward — underlayment first, then the finished flooring, then the fixture and trim that close the room off cleanly.
Execution
New plywood underlayment was installed over the existing subfloor, glue-down vinyl plank was laid across it, the old toilet was removed and a new one set onto the finished floor, and new quarter round was fitted around the perimeter.
Result
A flat, water-tolerant bathroom floor with a freshly set fixture and a crisp trim line running the full perimeter of the room.
